Members of the judiciary to my cabinet and my wonderful family. Thank you for being here tonight. And my fellow Rhode Islanders. Tonight i stand with all of you filled with optimism for our future. We work hard together digging our way out of the deep economic hole. And now we are prepared for Rhode Islanders for success in a fast changing economy. Right now in rhode island. We have more than half a million jobs in our state. Thats more jobs than we ever have in our states history. [ applause ] our unemployment is the lowest it has been in three decades now i want you to think about that. That means that our economy is as strong today as it has been in a generation. Whats going on . We know it has not always been that way. Actually just a few years ago, it was not that way. Whats different . W
