The authorities in afghanistan say a siege of a luxury hotel in kabul has come to an end, more than twelve hours after it was attacked by gunmen. An interior Ministry Spokesman said five civilians including one foreigner were killed at the Intercontinental Hotel, along with all three attackers. More than 100 people have been rescued. Andrew plant reports. The Intercontinental Hotel in kabul, at dawn on sunday morning, blackened and smoking after an 11 hour siege thats seen at least five People Killed and several more wounded. The shooting started after nightfall on saturday, several gunmen armed with grenades and automatic weapons. They want to know cops are doing what they are supposed to do. 99. 9 of the time, my cops are doing exactly what they are supposed to do. The cameras are going to confirm that for the public and anybody else who is interested. Host do they go on automatically . How do they work . Guest you have to turn them on. We are in a Pilot Program now. Weve just gone. Ive got about 80 to 100 officers wearing the cameras right now. The officers are allowed to turn them off under certain circumstances. If they are going in to the locker room, going to the bathroom.
