indicted. and if so, indicting him. the mar-a-lago case, look, we only know the evidence that is publicly available. we don t know what the doj has obtained. the grand jury, or other means that we are unavailable of. but the public evidence makes that look like a clear cut case for prosecution. now there is someone in place who can do that promptly. i want to ask the same question to both you and david. i will start with you, you have a former member of the mueller team revising the special counsel to hold regular press conferences. quote, his ability to explain and educate will be critical to the acceptance of the departments mission by the american public. i wonder, sort of, david, where that fits into your frame of wanting people to be brought along for this? i think, actually, the doj has done a very good job, very good, you know, job of doing that through the mar-a-lago investigation. one simple thing they did, they go in and collect these documents. trump is attacking that as
we will see, and frankly we won t know for two years. but i just want to be optimistic and maybe that is unwarranted. but that is how i feel. i, mean they ve to stat to this. it is more extreme for the republicans i think it was also deep desire in this country for accountability over what happened on january 6th. there was a desire for accountability for much of trump s presidency. i don t think david you are trying to say that it is apples to apples. but i do want to draw a clear distinction there, acadia. and i sort of wonder, from your vantage point, yes. the fact that you have kevin mccarthy in order to get 2 to 18 already making concessions life saying he is willing to pull democrats off of committees, that is not a sign that this is going to be a functional congress. is there anything that they can get done? that is gonna be what remains to be seen, isn t it. i mean, to david s point, yeah you are saying that you made a
from democrats at this time. we even heard the past week or so from rap warren, davidson of ohio saying that there are a number of people who have said that they will publicly always disavow and be a never kevin. so when we are thinking about what is gonna happen in january, when it comes to folks having to speak out and actually publicly say whether they are gonna vote or support him or not vote to support him, we are not gonna see much of a difference from what we just heard. i think kevin look at the has a long way to go, he is playing a very careful dance here where he knows that there are many people who are supporting trump and who will also not support him and have made a very clear that they will do so, and not stand by him come january. right, david, he other winds and because of all of the concessions he has made makes it impossible to govern and to get anything done. or he doesn t win, but even then, i guess my question is, who comes up in his place, david. if he can t get
