Marcus washington has the afternoon off. Im laura garcia. We begin with breaking news out of san carlos, a robbery suspect shot by home depot security after a fight. San mateo county Sheriff Deputies say it happened last night around 10 00. They say a Security Guard at the san carlos home depot confronted suspect jonathan mackey, who they thought was shoplifting. It turned into a fight. During the fight, sheriffs deputies say mackey got a hold of the Security Guards baton, hit the guard on the head with it, and they say he threw it into a glass window. The guard then fired two shots. One of them hit the suspect. A sheriffs deputy just happened to be nearby, heard the shots. Once he arrived on scene, he called in help. Paramedics took the guard and mackey to the hospital. They are both expected to survive. Officers arrested mackey. San mateo county Sheriffs Office is still investigating.
