Wayne County Treasurer Donna Masterson is reminding Wayne County Tax Payers that the first installment of Real Estate Taxes is due this Friday, October 7th. Taxes may be paid in person at the Treasurer's Office between 8a.m. and 4:30p.m. After office hours taxes may be paid utilizing the drop box located on the west side of the Courthouse. Real Estate Tax Payments may also be made at the following bank locations: First Financial, Cisne Trust, Mt. The board failed to take any action during the meeting concerning the building, but an Executive Session at the conclusion of the meeting concerned the possible purchase, lease or acquisition of property. No action was taken by the board at the conclusion of the Executive Session. David Harl addressed the board in support of keeping the courthouse, citing its architectural and historic value to the community.
