On April 8, there will be a total solar eclipse in the Tri-State. Many communities will see it, but which ones will be closest to the middle of the path? According to NASA, the total solar eclipse will be visible along a narrow track stretching from Texas to Maine on April 8. It will be the last total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States until 2044. A partial eclipse will be visible throughout all 48 contiguous U.S. states. As for the Tri-State, most of the area will be impacted in some way by this event. NASA says the table below provides the time that totality begins in some U.S. cities. These areas will also experience a partial eclipse before and after these times.
