With congressman scalise sunday on 60 minutes and first thing tomorrow on cbs this morning. Twitter executives were on capitol hill today for the investigation of russian interference in the u. S. Election. But senators were not happy with the answers they got. Here is jeff pegues. Their response was frankly, inadequate on almost every level. Mark warner, top democrat on the Senate Intelligence committee, publicly scolded twitter executives for not being more forthcoming during a meeting on capitol hill. Their actions have not matched their words in terms of their grasping the seriousness of this threat. Both twitter and facebook have been under pressure to be more transparent about russias use of social media to influence the 12016 election. Facebook acknowledged 3,000 ads during the campaign that had links to russian trolls. Including one designed to amplify the divisions over the black lives matter movement.
