ARKANSAS (WHEC) After being abandoned and left for dead, one dog is getting a second chance at life along with a new home at an Arkansas Sheriff s Office.
Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley says deputies found two dogs abandoned in a home alone for three weeks. One dog died and the other pup wasn t far behind. The vet was astonished that he hadn t died, said Staley.
Staley says the owners were arrested, charged with animal cruelty and they signed the dog over to the sheriff.

Since then, everyone at the sheriff s office has fallen in love with the dog and it was clear that he wasn t going to leave.
