After months seemingly in the clear, the virus that ravaged the country and which continues to wreak havoc in some corners of the globe proved it’s not done yet in Moffat County.
Craig and Moffat County residents still in need of the COVID-19 vaccine will have an opportunity to remedy that three times next week in three different locations.

Gov. Jared Polis said Friday that Colorado will move into its next phase of coronavirus vaccine distribution on March 19 two days ahead of schedule and that he expects the general public will have access to inoculations by mid-April.
The next phase, Phase 1b.4, includes anyone 50 and older, restaurant workers and many essential workers, like student-facing higher education employees, front-line journalists and manufacturing workers. There are an estimated 2.5 million people in the group.

Tuesday’s arrival of the Moderna vaccine is big news for Memorial Regional Health and an exciting and positive development for the entire community, CEO Andy Daniels said.
“I posted tonight there are certain events in your life that you’re always going to remember and for me, watching us get the first shot is going to be one of those events that I am always going to remember,” Daniels said.
