PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The running of SRC International was a one-man show run by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, says ad hoc prosecutor Datuk V. Sithambaram It was a one-man show. He kept everyone away and was in control of the SRC funds through the company s chief executive officer Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil. Najib micro-managed the company to the extent of deciding the appointment of SRC lawyers, auditors and which banks operated its accounts, functions usually carried out by the directors, he said.
In his submissions before a three-member Court of Appeal bench on Monday (April 19), Sithambaram said that SRC International s Board of Directors (BOD) were puppets dancing to Najib s tune .

PUTRAJAYA: Court of Appeal Judge Datuk Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil reminded Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s lawyer against repeating the same points in the hearing of the former premier’s appeal in the RM42 million SRC International Sdn Bhd’s case.
In asking the counsel, Harvinderjit Singh, to summarise his submissions, Judge Abdul Karim said many of the points had been dealt with by the lead defence counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah in his submission.

PUTRAJAYA: The RM4bil loaned by the Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) to SRC International Sdn Bhd and moved out of the company was a theft committed by other individuals, the Court of Appeal here was told.
Therefore, it was not a misappropriation of funds by Datuk Seri Najib Razak, the former prime minister s lawyer Harvinderjit Singh told a three-man bench on Thursday (April 8).
One judge had asked who made the decision to move the monies out of SRC International, a subsidiary of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
The panel was chaired by Justice Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil. The other judges were Justices Has Zanah Mehat and Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera.
