Up to six per family may visit cemetery, others must stay home, says Sabah mufti

Sabah Mufti Datuk Bungsu Aziz Jaafar (courtesy of Information Dept) KOTA KINABALU: Sabah mufti Datuk Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar said with only six per household allowed to visit their loved ones graves on Hari Raya, other family members are urged to stay home in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP). He said the people must adhere to the Hari Raya SOP in Sabah, which allows a maximum of six family members to visit each grave, not exceeding 45 minutes. “We can allow six people (per family) to ensure there is no crowding, thus avoiding the spread of Covid-19. “The rest can conduct prayers, recite Surah Al Fatihah or Surah Yassin readings and such at home, he said on Wednesday (May 12).
