A Stoughton man and Brockton man charged with robbing the Santander Bank on Torrey Street in Brockton Tuesday morning, July 6, have been held without bail.
Samuel Gervais, 24, whose last known address was in Stoughton, and Jennifer Rosil Dorlus, 34, with a most recent address in Brockton, were arraigned together in Brockton District Court on Wednesday, with not guilty pleas entered on their behalf by their attorneys, James Hester and Kate Welch.
Prosecutors said the incident began about 10:04 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, when police received a report of an armed robbery at the Santander Bank at 25 Torrey St.
Assistant District Attorney William O Driscoll said the men stole money from behind the counter and intimidated patrons, then fled in a Jeep, which they crashed near 557 West Elm St., across from the West Middle School, while being pursued by police officers who quickly responded to the bank.
