Council approves $4 million bond sale for park despite concerns it could scuttle rec reform plan
A local recreation board has won final approval to sell $4 million worth of bonds to build a new park despite concerns it will hobble or kill a proposal to reform Terrebonne Parish s public recreation system.
The Terrebonne Parish Council, during a contentious meeting Wednesday night, approved Rec District 1 s request to sell the bonds and use the money for a new Coteau-Bayou Blue Park.
