Calibre One re-architects Aldebaran with Microsoft and Telstra Swaps out basic HP file server for NT civil engineering firm. Calibre One s Darren Gore Credit: Calibre One Adelaide-based IT services provider Calibre One has ripped out the ageing infrastructure of Northern Territory civil engineering firm Aldebaran Contracting.  The Telstra and Microsoft partner worked with the two vendors to re-architect the firm’s business infrastructure, taking out its nine-year-old HP basic file server and replacing it with Microsoft Azure cloud.  The transition means all Aldebaran’s 30 different applications and paper-based files now have some cloud-based capacity.   Also leveraging cyber security vendor Fortinet, Calibre One created a centralised, cloud-oriented environment accessible with fibre internet, 4G and new networking and firewalls. 

Calibre One sponsors tech-focused aged care initiative Moove & Groove

Managed services provider Calibre One has signed on as a sponsor of Australian technology-based aged care initiative Moove & Groove. Moove & Groove uses consumer technology to deliver audio and video to enhance the aged care experience, using person-centred, immersive experiences like spiritual, exercise, armchair travel, as well as music playlists and more. Calibre One partnered with long term customer, aged care provider Warrina Homes, to become Moove & Groove’s co-corporate sponsor, funding 50 percent of the program’s initial cost. Calibre One said it was a natural partnership in line with the company s mission of providing technology that enhances the lives of the people that use it.

Murfreesboro Stars Award Goes To Adam Todd and Cody Bell Jan 23, 2021 at 08:42 am by WGNS (MURFREESBORO)   Murfreesboro Water Resources employees Adam Todd and Cody Bell have been named STARS award recipients for December 2020. The STARS award comes after they gave roadside assistance to a woman who became stranded on the roadway after she ran out of gas.  Mayor Shane McFarland recognized Todd and Bell during Thursday (1/21/2021) evening s meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council with the STARS award for Outstanding Performance: “Succeeding Through Attitudes Reflecting Service Excellence.”  Todd and Bell are another example of representing the City in a positive light, exhibiting the core values and creating a better quality of life for citizens.  Murfreesboro Human Resources Director Pam Russell joined Mayor McFarland in presenting the STARS awards to Todd and Bell.
