Deluxe pass-catching RB Theo Riddick retires Field Level Media Las Vegas Raiders running back Theo Riddick is retiring after seven NFL seasons. The Raiders placed Riddick on the reserve/retired list Friday. Earlier this week, Riddick was put on the team s COVID-19 list. Riddick, 30, excelled as a pass catcher out of the backfield with the Detroit Lions, catching a career-high 80 passes in 2015 and 247 over a four-season span. After being released by Detroit in July 2019, Riddick joined the Denver Broncos but he missed the season after fracturing a shoulder during the preseason. He joined the Raiders last season and played in just four games catching five passes for 43 yards and rushing six times for 14 yards.

No details have been released on how or the significance of the injury. However, Stills posted on social media, I m going to be ya ll, don t worry. The former West Virginia University Mountaineer signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 1.  The Fairmont, WV native finished his senior campaign with 25 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and an interception in an abbreviated 10 game season. He ended his career with 85 tackles, including 25.5 tackles for a loss, 21 of those came in the last two seasons and 11.5 sacks.
