CSKA Moscow moved within a victory of a record-breaking ninth consecutive Final Four when it downed visiting Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul by 78-67 on Friday in Game 2 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs. With a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series, CSKA will have at three chances, if needed, to reach its ninth consecutive Final Four, which no team has done before. Game 3 will be in Istanbul next Wednesday. Fenerbahce led 32-35 before CSKA used a 14-2 run to take a 50-42 halftime lead. Fenerbahce held CSKA without a field goal for the first 8 minutes of the third quarter to cut the difference to 52-51, but couldn t tie or go ahead, after which CSKA slowly pulled away. Daniel Hackett led the winners with 14 points and 9 assists. Tornike Shengelia added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, while Nikia Kurbanov chipped in 10 points. Marko Guduric led Fenerbahce with 27 points while Nando De Colo and Danilo Barthel had 9 each.

Valencia s defense stops Fenerbahce
Valencia Basket grabbed its third consecutive home victory by downing Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul 66-52 at La Fonteta on Friday. Valencia improved to 15-14 and has a 2-0 record against Fenerbahce, which dropped to 17-12. Sam Van Rossom led the winners with 17 points. Mike Tobey added 12 while Martin Hermannsson had 11 for Valencia. Jan Vesely led Fenerbahce with 15 points while Nando De Colo had 14 against his former team. Valencia led almost from start to finish, getting a 18-10 lead after 10 minutes and using a 9-0 run for a 37-28 margin at halftime. Nothing changed after the break, as Valencia boosted its margin to 53-41 and kept dominating the game through outstanding defense until the final buzzer.
De Colo, Vesely lead Fenerbahce past Milan

Fenerbahce improved to 16-11 in the standings and recorded its 11th victory in the last 12 games. Milan dropped to 17-10. Nando De Colo led the winners with 20 points, Lorenzo Brown added 18, DyShawn Pierre and Marko Guduric had 15 apiece while Jan Vesely flirted with a triple-double as he posted 13 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 8 assists for Fenerbahce. It all came down to the final 3 minutes, in which Guduric, Vesely and an unstoppable De Colo made the difference down the stretch.
Fenerbahce holds off ALBA for perfect ten
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul made it ten wins in a row by holding off ALBA Berlin 89-84 in a competitive and entertaining contest at the Ulker Sports and Events Hall. The opening exchanges were fast-paced and closely contested, with both teams having spells in the ascendancy in the first half, which finished 45-42.
