Heather M. Potter, 45, of 1250 Norby Rd. Jamestown, NY, passed away unexpectedly at 4:02 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021, in UPMC Chautauqua.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 17, 1976, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Brenda Prosser Johnson and Rodney Potter, Jr.
Heather was a 1996 graduate of Jamestown High School where she received a standing ovation from her classmates when she received her diploma.
She was employed by the Resource Center, working at the Harris Avenue Group Home and had also worked for the Basket Company.
Heather was a member of the First Lutheran Church, where she loved reciting the Lord’s prayer. She was also a very proud member of the Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, enjoying many events and functions.

Roy K. “Sonny” Storms, 90, of Jamestown, N.Y., formerly of Port Richey, Fla., and Springhill, Fla., passed away at 12:46 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Roy was born May 30, 1930, in Buffalo, N.Y., a son of the late Roy J. and Linee Engdahl Storms.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1947-50. During his tour of duty, he served aboard the USS Soley and the USS Wright.
Before his retirement and move to Florida, he was a foreman for the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities where he worked for 29 years.

Jayme C. Sauder, 40, of Lakewood, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, in UPMC Chautauqua.
An area resident since moving to Jamestown in 2016, he was born April 10, 1980, in Middlebury, Vt., a son of James “Jim” Sauder and the late Wendy Whaley Sauder.
Following high school, he continued his education at Elmira College, where earned his bachelor’s degree in business and psychology.
Jayme was currently working as a software engineer for Brigham & Women’s & Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass.
Being able to work from home, he enjoyed spending his time with his children and building things. He was an avid baseball fan and loved collecting baseball cards. Jayme was known for his infectious smile and bone crushing hugs. He and his family attended First Lutheran Church.
