In the wake of japan s earthquake and devastating tsunami, thousands are missing, and among them is american michelle paul and her american parents. michelle went to japan to teach english, her parents went to help her to get settled. danielle pullen is on the phone from boston. and thank you for joining us. thank you. this is your cousin and aunt and uncle. when did you last hear from them? on thursday before the tsunami. and what did they say to you? actually, we had just been reading their facebook posts, and we received an e-mail that they felt shakes. they were having a great trip despite some of the tremors happening in the country. what city were they in? they were in matsushima. and that s the danger zone. i understand were they all on a ferry going somewhere?
I am very hopeful that they re okay, that communication is just broken, they haven t been able to get in touch with us. so when they were feeling the shakes, when exactly was that? that was actually on thursday they started to, you know, they said they were walking along the bay and kind of felt smaller earthquakes, but that was before the big one happened, though. and i understand there s a younger sister involved. she s still here in the united states. her parents and her sister. how is she holding up? you know, she s a strong girl, and she s very we have a strong family and we ve been keeping in touch. certainly difficult for her. she s definitely not alone in the struggle. well, danielle, thanks so much. we ll be praying. thank you, we appreciate it. turning to another developing story now. the ongoing civil war in libya. libyan state tv is reporting that forces loyal to moammar gadhafi are now in control of the town of al brega. this follows the re-taking of
