EMERGENCY services prepared for a possible rope rescue at Icart yesterday, but the inshore lifeboat was able to successfully rescue the casualty.

It was a multi-service response to the incident which happened at about 3.45pm, involving the police, St John Ambulance, the Fire & Rescue Service and the Guernsey Coastguard.
A paramedic and incident officer were on scene at the car park at Icart and traffic was being diverted away from the area.
