(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Board of Zoning Appeals approved two requests for variances during its meeting Tuesday afternoon.
Jerry Rowland requested a variance for lesser than a required setback on his property located at 1115 James Avenue. The property is currently zoned B-3 Planned Business District and the minimum front setback is 30 feet. Jerry has asked for five feet. He plans to sell the business to his son and will be separating the car wash and the oil lube. The BZA approved his request.
Daniel Stivers requested a variance for the required setbacks on his property located at 205 Eastlake Drive. The property is zoned R-3 Medium Density Residential district and the minimum setback is 26 feet. Daniel is wishing to construct a garage 15 feet from the property line and is asking for an 11-foot variance. The BZA approved his request.

(BEDFORD) – The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at 1402 H Street in the City Concourse building.
A public hearing will be held for Barry Rowland for a variance at 1115 James Avenue. The property is zoned B-3 Planned Business District and the minimum set back is 25 feet. Rowland is asking for a five-foot set back of the property to separate the car wash from the Quick Lube.

The property is currently zoned R-3 Medium Density Residential District and the minimum setback for his property is 26 feet. Stivers is building a garage and is requesting an 11 foot variance.
