Kyran Young claimed the top spot of the Squash Championship in conjunction with the 37
th National Day celebration after defeating Pengiran Hasnan bin Pengiran Anak Haji Rozanan in straight sets 11-6, 11-2, 11-5 in the men’s open final at the National Squash Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex last night.
The newly crowned winner credited his beaten opponent despite a handsome victory in his maiden competition in the country.
“Hasnan is a very good player. He has a very good touch and very good racket skills. It was a great game and it was nice to play him in the tournament,” said Kyran in an interview with the
