On Monday, there was an apartment fire that left 80 residents displaced and two other house fires, one being fatal. Due to the weather and power outages, many cities are experiencing low water pressure, making it more difficult for firefighters to battle the fires.

Houston winter storm: Cy-Fair family of 6 in hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning

A family of six, including four children, suffered from possible carbon monoxide poisoning when they were using a charcoal grill to keep warm, Cy-Fair Fire Department said on Monday. The fire department said the grill may have been burning for about four hours inside an apartment in the 8500 block of Easton Commons Drive. Smoked filled the apartment, Eyewitness News learned from the scene. The family, including children ranging in age from 5 to 10 years old, were rushed to Memorial Hermann Cypress. An adult and one of the children were listed in critical condition. The rest were reportedly stable. UPDATE: Ages of the children range from 5 years old to 10 years old. 1 adult and 1 child are in listed in critical condition at @memorialhermann Cypress.

According to a tweet from the Cy-Fair VFD, four of the six people taken to the hospital were children, ages 5 through 10. One adult and one child are in critical condition.

Cy-Fair firefighters rescue resident stuck in assisted living center fire in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) The Cy-Fair Fire Department was called to help evacuate a resident who was stuck in an assisted living center during a fire Tuesday morning in northwest Harris County. It happened in the 8500 block of Copperbrook Drive at the Autumn Grove Cottage Assisted Living facility around 7:30 a.m. By the time firefighters arrived, eight of the residents had already been evacuated to safety by two assisted living facility staff members.
