Firefighters from Cy-Fair Fire Dept. arrived to find flames and smoke billowing from the garage of the home, which sustained heavy damage from the fire.
There was no word on a cause of the fire. The Harris County Fire Marshal s Office was investigating.
No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was assisting the family who lived at the home.
The children ranged from 2 to 18 years old.

HOUSTON – A mother and her 11 children are left without a home for the holidays after a massive fire devastated their house.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday in the Lake Point subdivision on Pinewood Trace Lane near West Little York, authorities said.
Cpt. Daniel Arizpe with the Cy-Fair Fire Department said the fire started in the garage and quickly spread into the attic.
Catherine Modlies said she’s thankful she and her children were awake when they smelled smoke. Modlies said they searched the home but couldn’t figure out where the fire was coming from until they opened the garage door. That’s when Modlies said they saw the flames and made a run for it.

HOUSTON Four members of a northwest Houston family were rushed to the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning Tuesday afternoon.
One of the patients is a 3-year-old child, according to the fire department.
The child and two other family members were in serious condition when they arrived at Memorial Hermann Hospital. An older man was last reported in critical condition.
One of the family members was able to call 911 when they started feeling sick.
Fire crews discovered a portable generator in-use without proper ventilation in the garage of the home.
