Thanks to a $600,000 state grant, the Danbury Community Center is getting a badly needed new roof. The money comes from the State Bond Commission, which has approved the grant to replace the roof of the more than 50 year old Danbury Community Center on Boughton St. It’s the site of the city’s only public swimming pool that will be the place where free swim lessons will be available for 700 low income youth.
