FALL RIVER Hours after an 18-year-old city man was arraigned on gun charges in connection with last week’s shooting in Griffin Park, Mayor Paul Coogan met with several dozen Corky Row residents to discuss ways to quell future violence.
“I want people to know that whatever they need we’re here to support them, we’re going to be putting programs in Griffin Park over the summer,” said Coogan at a neighborhood meeting held at the Corky Row Club. “There are all sorts of ideas floating around right now, and I don’t want to jump to just one. But I want people to know we’re going to be here, not today, not tomorrow, from now on with all they have going on in Corky Row.”
Another suspect has been arrested in connection to the double homicide at Fall River's Griffin Park in which a 14-year-old boy and 29-year-old man were killed.
