A local state of emergency remains in place for Wellington s south coast as huge waves continue to pound the capital s coastline, with some reaching up to 6.5m overnight. Officials are warning locals they re not out of the woods just yet , with high tides posing the highest risk and mighty swells still surging towards the shore.
