Two recent meetings on the progress of plans to return passenger rail service showed that Pottstown is stepping up to be ready should this be the time that passenger rail finally returns to the Schuylkill Valley.
The authority is a joint venture between Berks, Montgomery and Chester Counties and is tasked with the long-term goal of restoring passenger rail service from Reading to Philadelphia.
Three residents spoke against it at Tuesday's council meeting and two of them addressed information that may have been leaked from a closed-door executive session of council.
