Author: Tyler Carey Updated: 4:36 PM EDT March 16, 2021 PARMA, Ohio Two people are dead following a shooting early Saturday morning at a local bar, and officials have confirmed one of the victims was an off-duty Cuyahoga County corrections officer. Parma police say they responded to the incident at Rookie Sports Bar & Grill around 2:13 a.m. Witnesses said 29-year-old Sean Michael Acierno was shot in the parking lot before security guard Timoteo Tim Cruz, a CCW holder, returned fire. While Cruz managed to hit the alleged shooter with one of his bullets, he himself was gunned down, and he and Acierno both died at the scene.

The bar is closed until further notice, according to a post on its Facebook page. Unfortunately, Rookies Parma will be closed until further notice. CLEVELAND, Ohio A Cuyahoga County grand jury on Thursday indicted Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson’s grandson on two felony counts connected to a January incident in which Parma police said he dragged an officer and led them on a high-speed chase after a traffic stop for tinted windows. Frank Q. Jackson, 24, is indicted on charges of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and failure to comply, a third-degree felony, in connection with the Jan. 24 encounter with police in the Cleveland suburb.

Three teens charged in carjacking of Uber driver in Parma, court records say CLEVELAND, Ohio Three teens face charges in an armed carjacking Sunday morning of a 50-year-old Uber driver. A 17-year-old Garfield Heights boy and two 16-year-old Cleveland boys have been charged with aggravated robbery, robbery, grand theft, carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, according to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court records. The 16-year-old boys also were charged with obstructing official business. They remain in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center. Court records do not say when they will make their first court appearance.
