Italian Kitchen, Buron retires: 5 top Brockton-area stories last week

Italian Kitchen family faces double tragedy  West Bridgewater couple dies, leaving behind two children It was June 2, 2020, when Jennifer Tosches of West Bridgewater became a single mother. Her husband of nearly a decade, John, died from a heart attack at the age of 48.  Losing him was absolutely devastating and a lot to deal with on top of her fight with breast cancer, but Tosches did the best she could, said Alison Conroy, her friend who lives in Bridgewater.  “I think she survived the most she could because she did it for the boys,” Conroy said. “I think she would say, ‘John would have wanted me to do what I can as best I can.’” More than eight months later, on Feb. 26, Jennifer Tosches lost her battle with cancer at the age of 45. Bridgewater-Raynham s offensive line carries out hardnose style

The Enterprise BRIDGEWATER – For the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High football team’s offensive line, there is no better sight than No. 18 trailing off into the distance. It has happened repeatedly this season with senior running back Anthony Morrison bursting through an opening and accelerating past defenders on his way to the end zone. While Morrison gets credited for picking up those yards and scoring touchdowns, it is made possible in part due to the tremendous efforts of the individuals along the Trojans offensive line that put in the less acclaimed work to spring Morrison loose. “Every time we run a sweep and he breaks a long one and just watching him run off into the end zone, realizing nobody is going to catch him is a great feeling,” said senior tight end Luke Payton, who provides critical blocking on the perimeter in B-R’s run-heavy offense. “It feels like we all definitely help with that.”
