It didn’t take Justin Stevens long to pick a new school.
The former Michigan State offensive lineman announced his commitment to Central Michigan on Friday afternoon. He entered the transfer portal on Saturday, the same day the Spartans had their final practice of the spring.
Stevens was one of 11 players who weren’t in uniform for Michigan State’s last spring practice.

Michigan State’s spring attrition has now hit the quarterback room.
Redshirt junior quarterback Theo Day entered his name in the transfer portal on Wednesday. He appeared in only two games for the Spartans and was the fourth quarterback who got snaps during Saturday’s open spring practice, making the outlook for playing time this fall remote.
Huntington North grad Kaylor enters transfer portal

Michigan State offensive lineman Damon Kaylor, who was named first-team all-NE8 and first-team all-NEI during his senior year at Huntington North, announced Monday afternoon that he has entered the transfer portal. Kaylor did not see playing time in either of his two seasons with the Spartans, and will be a redshirt sophomore next fall. I would like to thank all of the coaches at Michigan State and Coach Dantonio for the opportunity they gave me to attend Michigan State, but after talking with them and my family I feel that it is best for me to enter my name in the transfer portal, Kaylor wrote in a tweet posted Monday afternoon.

A new wave of departures continues for Michigan State.
Redshirt freshman tight end Tommy Guajardo, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Damon Kaylor, fifth-year senior defensive end DeAri Todd, redshirt freshman defensive tackle Chris Mayfield, redshirt freshman defensive end Jasiyah Robinson and redshirt freshman walk-on long snapper Bryce Eimer all entered the transfer portal on Monday. None of the six players have ever appeared in a game with the Spartans.

LJ Scott fought off a group of defenders and spun through contact to reach the ball across the goal line in the final seconds of the fourth quarter to lift the Spartans to a win against Iowa in the Big Ten championship game.
