Roy Wiegand completed the last leg of a 1,100 mile bike ride from Los Angeles to Albuquerque on Friday afternoon. Wiegand’s ride, which concluded at the Botanic Garden with a welcoming committee of his wife and friends, has raised more than $13,000 for DigDeep to install water systems in homes on the Navajo Nation. Another day, Wiegand found himself racing three dogs down a highway past the towering mesas of the Navajo Nation in western New Mexico.
