Authorities have released the name of the driver seriously injured in a Dubuque County collision Thursday morning.
The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year old Randy Moser of Guttenberg rear-ended the back of cement truck while eastbound on Highway 20. It happened east of Peosta near the Cox Springs intersection shortly before 7:30 am.
Moser was driving an Iowa Department of Transportation pickup at the time of the crash. He was transported to a local hospital before being airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with life-threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office says he remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the Horsfield Construction cement truck, 27-year old Dakoda Elledge of Colesburg, was not injured.

One person was seriously injured in an accident in Dubuque County on Thursday morning.
The accident happened shortly before 7:30 am east of Peosta near the intersection of Highway 20 and Cox Springs. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says a cement truck owned by Horsfield Construction, driven by 27-year old Dakoda Elledge of Colesburg, was traveling in the slow lane on eastbound Highway 20. An Iowa Department of Transportation vehicle, also traveling in the eastbound lane, struck the back of Elledge’s cement truck.
The DOT driver suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His name has not yet been released.
