Olympic silver medallist Dajana Eitberger has earned her first International Luge Federation (FIL) World Cup victory since giving birth after topping the standings in Oberhof.
Eitberger found herself in second place after the first run of the competition by clocking 41.672sec, with Latvia’s Kendija Aparjode leading on 41.667.
The second run saw Eitberger rise to the top of the standings with a time of 41.666 giving her an overall total of 1min 23.338sec.
She finished narrowly clear of fellow German Natalie Geisenberger, who was 0.072 adrift.
Geisenberger, who also returned to the World Cup circuit this season after giving birth, has finished as the runner-up in the opening four races of the season.
