When asked about the subscription charges applied to cab services, Namma Yatri noted that no charges are being levied until October 1. “The specific subscription amounts for each plan will be determined in participative manner with the community and will be introduced post-October 1,” a written response from them said.
This move will benefit Namma Yatri in raising funds from venture capital investors to develop infrastructure and technology. It will also ease the difficulties involved in running different businesses simultaneously
The announcement comes at a time when Namma Yatri is celebrating a significant milestone with its drivers collectively earning over Rs 100 crore without paying any commission, since its launch in November last year.
