Man who allegedly stabbed dog 29 times indicted by Grand Jury

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico Doña Ana County District Attorney Gerald Byers said an indictment was issued against Dagoberto Jimenez by a grand jury. Jimenez is charged with two counts of extreme cruelty to animals.
On Dec. 15 of last year, sheriff s deputies responded to a fight between two brothers, which included 27-year-old Dagoberto Jimenez.
During the incident in the 9400 block of Pluto Road, Jimenez allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed a dog named Gucci 29 times.

On Monday morning, Gucci left for Bayou Animal Services in the Houston area. Because of the severity of his injuries, Dona Ana County officials say he has shown aggressive tendencies toward men.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico The owner of a 6-year-old pit bull terrier allegedly stabbed the dog 29 times last December and the Doña Ana County Sheriff wants to know why the case hasn t been prosecuted.
DASO responded to a disturbance on Dec. 15, 2020 between two brothers, including 27-year-old Dagoberto Jimenez, in the 9400 block of Pluto Road, east of the Las Cruces city limits.
During their fight, according to an incident report obtained by ABC-7, Jimenez grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his dog, Gucci, 29 times leaving him for dead.
