Doña Ana County dog stabbed 29 times gets 2nd chance at life
DOÑA ANA COUNTY, New Mexico -- A 6-six-year-old bull terrier who survived a violent stabbing attack last December will start a new chapter of his life this week.
On Monday morning, "Gucci" left for Bayou Animal Services in the Houston area. Because of the severity of his injuries, Dona Ana County officials say he has shown aggressive tendencies toward men.
On Dec. 15 of last year, sheriff's deputies responded to a fight between two brothers, which included 27-year-old Dagoberto Jimenez.
During the incident in the 9400 block of Pluto Road, Jimenez allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Gucci 29 times. As of May 12, he had not yet been prosecuted.
