April 13, 2021 THE top official of the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Western Visayas has encouraged the public to consume indigenous food resources and locally-grown products to help farmers cope with the adverse economic effects of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
DA-Western Visayas Director Remelyn Recoter, on the sidelines of the kick-off celebration of Filipino Food Month (FFM) in Western Visayas in Iloilo City on Monday, April 12, said they aim to create awareness among Filipinos of the indigenous food.
“Also, the activity will be an avenue for our farmers to sell their products and for the consumers to patronize our local products,” she added.
