Our Correspondent Diphu, Oct. 10 (EMN): Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated the second biggest open stage at Umswai under Amri, Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) constituency in West Karbi Anglong on Monday. Inaugurating the open stage, the CEM said, “The biggest open stage was in Duarbagori MAC constituency and second biggest open stage is here in Umswai. I am glad to inaugurate the second biggest open stage constructed under a state government-sponsored scheme.” To reach potable water to every household, the CEM said, “Under Greater Umswai Water Supply Scheme, in one year we will be able to connect the pipeline water supply to every household of Umswai.” He also informed the gathering that Lang-erdang High School will be provincialised. Our CorrespondentDiphu, June 18 (EMN): Preparations for the oath-taking ceremony of the 26 elected Members of Autonomous Council (MAC) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), scheduled on June 20 is in progress at Karbi People’s Hall, Taralangso. Governor of Assam Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, being the guardian of the 6th Schedule, will administer the oath of office to all the 26 elected MACs in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other state ministers. Mukul Kumar Saikia, Principal Secretary, KAAC informed that from the conduct of election to oath-taking, the DC is authorised by the governor but the KAAC is also assisting in the making of pandals and other arrangements.
