the way to the supreme court, he was swatted down with executive action on immigration, so i don t fault this administration for being hesitant to use executive action. juan: i m not saying that. people want to see the end, it is not popular among anybody. you want to see an end to the policy, we ll talk about legislatively. juan: we have a situation where republicans are stuck among themselves. no doubt about that. juan: especially amnesty and president trump said he was opposed to the bills and now saying, i m not sure, if you change it, the question is, what is the compromise among republicans? all right, we ll talk about that in the next block. in the meantime, house republican leadership putting back a vote on compromise immigration bill, but the president is placing the blame squarely on democrats, who he says are trying to destruct whether congress can pass a bill ahead of the mid-term election. plus, today is deadline for d.o.j. to hand over documents

welcome back. today marking deadline top house republicans gave the justice department and f.b.i. to turn over all documents, requested by congressial investigators. f.b.i. director christopher wray and deputy attorney rosenstein met with republicans on that issue last friday and set a sunday deadline for the department to provide records about f.b.i. s u.s. of confidential informant who made contact with trump. responding to whether contempt of congress is on the table. take a listen. i m in support of making sure we get documents we rightly deserve and legitimately requested. we expect compliance, getting daily reports from chairs about progress on compliance, i will regroup with them tomorrow, but i expect them to comply with legitimate document requests this is legitimate oversight of
the executive branch. senior justice department official telling fox news, we agreed to provide documents by friday or explain why we couldn t. that process is underway, including delivery of many requested documents yesterday and today. a lot of frustration on the house, but also among the american people. kennedy, pretty simple questions you are getting from members of the house saying, when did this russia probe begin and more information about this informant on the campaign. are they right to be as frustrated as they are? part of the frustration is political, obviously. any time you have members of congress and their grandstanding, political element, this is legitimate request, sometimes impossible to separate the two, you have to err on the side of transparency. f.b.i. and d.o.j. have problems with perception, it doesn t do them a lot of good to hide behind some of these excuses
calls all day about the process families might go through to be reunited. what have you learned and do you have any information to pass along for our viewers? so, i think it will be a difficult process. i.c.e. will have to come up with some mechanism for reuniting families, for bringing children who have now been put throughout the united states, finding their parents, many of them now in foreign countries with language difficulties together. and to put it kindly, i.c.e. is going to have to build that airplane while they re flying it. these will be difficult pictures to put back together much like what happened in europe at the end of world war ii where displaced people were all over with no clear plan in place to put them together again. i don t think we re much better off than that. and the problem is attorney general sessions wandered into this policy without thinking in advance and without preparing i.c.e. and d.o.j. agencies for how they would reunify the children with their fam
