The IMD forecast predicted heavy rain and strong wind near Andaman & Nicobar Island and east-central Bay of Bengal on Monday evening due to intensified deep depression.
The cyclone quickly lost strength and forecasters downgraded it to a tropical storm. It left flooding and other damage, forcing some to evacuate their homes.
