THOMASVILLE — Four Thomas County Central High School Computer Science program students successfully demonstrated their online safety acumen to receive scholarships in the annual National Cyber Scholar Competition.
Humam Al-Shami is a high school student who founded the Magnolia Cybersecurity Club. Along with his team, Al-Shami competed in CyberStart America against a pool of 40,000 students - including teams from Harvard. In total, Al-Shami's team brought home nearly $16,000 in scholarships and are among the top 1% of students who participated.
