Walnut creek. The bakers started at 2 00 this morning and the cooks came in at 3 00 to start preparing breakfast burritos and sandwiches and pastries. The owner started a go fund me fund last tuesday to help pay for the meals. They started making deliveries on thursday. So far they have made 500 meals for those who are responding during this pandemic. Because we have to push through. I know a lot of other restaurants have hit tough times like we have, but weve been feeding this community for 40 years. My mother and father started it in 1981 and we continue it today and now in the face of this adversity, we have to find out how to be useful to our community. Today they will be donating 150 meals to ambulance drivers. They have also fed hospital workers and wednesday theyre going to feed the Walnut Creek Police department.
