The familys attorney Christopher Dolan says this is the first wrongful death lawsuit filed against uber, the Ride Sharing Company ever. This is where she was hit. You can see people have left flowers and bears. The 6yearold was in a crosswalk when a driver in a honda did not yield. The suit maintains that the driver, an uber contractor, was on the app when he hit the girl on new years eve, and because drivers must use it quickly to get riders, it basically amounts to distracted driving, a violation of california law.
