J jason ho reports from the site. Reporter ambulances raced down the main street trying to save the victims of one of the worst mass killings in the countrys history. Police believe a former employee of this care facility broke in through a window. He allegedly tied up a staff member before going after the nearly 150 residents. There are people with intellectual disabilities ranging from 18 to 75 years old. Not even an hour later, the suspect had turned himself in to police. Family members are grieving and outraged. Translator the victims are people with disabilities including very young people. Im angry that the suspect did this to them. Reporter for residents in this normally peaceful mountain town, its shocking beyond belief. This boy says the people at the facility were part of the community. Reporter i just talked to police and they say theyre very confident they know who the driver is, but no arrests yet. Mike talbert says its a sound he wont forget. A vehicle hitting deshaun while he was riding his bike home from school on thursday. I heard the kid screaming. Reporter he saw the 8yearold crawling to the side of the road and bleeding from his head. Neighbors say they saw a white van with tinted windows drive off. It came back around, stopped for a few seconds and then sped off again. To just drive away is insane to me. I dont get how the world is today. Reporter police say the child was not wearing a helmet. He was airlifted to the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. Deshauns mom didnt want to talk to us on camera but says his grandmother followed the vehicle. A neighbor got the license plate and called 911. Screaming and crying and his he was. Reporter police havent released any suspect information or arrested anyone yet. Only saying theyre following strong leads.

Patrick Officials Say the fisherman called for help sunday morning after seeing the body on the boat ramp off buckskin road near saluda lake. Are helping Anderson County deputies look for evidence in a double homicide case. The crime happened about 5 weeks ago near pierce and amy road. Officals say there is a possiblity that evidence from the homicides may be located along highway 184 near iva elementary school. The search spanned four miles. And deputies asked members of the National Guard and the state guard to help out, as they trained this weekend. There is no word on if officals found anything during sterdays search.
