Although the trails at the Frisco Peninsula were covered in a thin layer of springtime snow on Wednesday morning, May 22, afternoon sunshine gave way to perfect racing conditions for the first Summit Mountain Challenge.
Although many of the trails across Summit County are still thawing out after a long winter season, Race Breck’s summer-long Summit Trail Running Series has officially begun. The first race of the season was hosted.
