Perham speech team competes at Duluth

(Submitted photo) The Perham speech team competed in a large tournament hosted by Duluth-Denfeld on Saturday, Feb. 6, with 48 schools from Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, and more than 650 competitors. The junior high team competed on Feb. 8 at a tournament hosted by Cass-Lake Bena. Only 7th-9th graders are allowed to compete at a junior high meet. The entire team will be gearing up for their next tournament on Saturday, Feb. 20 hosted by Underwood.

(Submitted photo) The Perham speech team competed in an asynchronous tournament hosted by Cass Lake-Bena. Perham finished fourth in the event, while Eveleth-Gilbert was first. Bemidji finished second, said a news release from Perham-Dent Public Schools. Perham had a total of six entries and seven speakers for the event on Jan. 23.
