adviser to covid act now. sabrina, let s just dive in on this. number one, let s talk about the substance of this legislation. you know, this is very progressive. it s not just this patchwork of, you know, people are struggling in america and let s get them money, but it is specifically, you know, let s get parents money because of their children. this is something that has been done in other countries, never really in america until now. can you speak to that and just what this offers up americans? well, i think that s what you heard the president speak to in his remarks just now talking about the substance of the bill. now, some of this is, of course, the immediate relief that the administration felt was necessary in response to the coronavirus pandemic like another round of stimulus checks, $1,400 direct payments that will start going out as soon as this weekend and continue to roll out in the coming weeks, but there is also an expansion of the child tax credit for anothe
republican administrations fail. yes, improving the quality of people s lives is credit call, and i applaud them for doing it, but a chicken in every pot and computer in every house is not going to substitute or compensate for the incredibly difficult issues of statehood, jerusalem, refugees, and the whole conception of how you reconcile palestinian sovereignty against necessary requirements of israeli security, so i think they have got the the horse the real horse perhaps before the cart, before we ll see one additional point. you ll notice where this is taking place. it s taking place in the gulf and frankly to their credit they didn t have i use the word chutzpah to stage this in saudi arabia largely because of our policy with respect to jamal khashoggi s murder, but it will bring israelis and arabs, palestinian participation, yet

well, back in ames now where i m joined by iowa s senior senator, republican chuck grassley. we were just talking off camera, congressman king was on air credit call with governor perry for announcing today. not upset he joined the race but announcing today in what he thought appeared to be an attempt to diminish the importance of the straw poll. what do you think? if that was the moment, i would criticize him. but i don t know if there s any connection or not. for me, the more the merrier. it is hard for me to criticize at this point. i would on that specific issue, though. when you look today, you walked through the tents today, what stood out to you that sort of that you weren t expecting? well, i think outrage at the grass roots of america that is
