Now in its third annual year, Re-Centering/Margin: Creative Residency has impacted 33 emerging dance artists in its residency and ancillary program - including numerous selected artists, 25 mentors and 9 writers.Re - Centering/ Margins: Creative Residency provides opportunities and professional development for three emerging dance artists of colour to continue their creative processes and create contemporary performance works. All applicants receive an artist fee, mentorship, professional development, access to free studio space with showcase opportunities for their in-process dance works.Each of these emerging artists are asked to invite established artists to mentor them with creative feedback, and were also asked to invite a writer of colour to accompany their creative process. Writers were asked to connect with the artists creative processes, to create essays that support different kinds of reflection, as well as creative engagement and documentation of these new dance works.Sidne
