Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) - Unilever has committed to stop skin retouching and digital alteration of bodies in its ads as part of its progressive Positive Beauty vision and strategy.
Among the commitments, Unilever will not digitally alter a person s body shape, size, proportion, or skin color in its brand advertising - a move already started by Dove in previous years. The beauty and personal care company also vowed to increase the number of advertisements portraying people from diverse groups who are under-represented, as part of its long-time support to the #UnStereotype global movement.
SOUTHEAST ASIAN e-commerce platform Shopee has launched a dedicated page for all things beauty in Shopee Beauty, offering the “best deals from top make-up and skincare brands,” according to a company statement.
Among the brands available on the page are Dove, TRESemmé, Cream Silk, Organic Skin, Vice Cosmetics, Beauty Avenue, Senka, and Yves Rocher.
“We are proud to introduce Shopee Beauty as the Filipino’s one-stop destination for all things related to beauty. With the strong demand for make-up and skincare products in our platform, Shopee looks forward to giving our buyers a better buying experience by creating an avenue for them to discover new products and find the best deals from top beauty brands,” Ruoshan Tao, head of marketing at Shopee Philippines, said in a statement.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) BYE2020 just got bigger with more international artists joining the lineup.
In its debut offering, the online concert welcomes critically-acclaimed artists from different parts of the world to stand up for solidarity and deliver inspiring performances to help fellow Filipino people cope with the ongoing pandemic.
“It was initially just a pipe dream having international acts perform in BYE2020, but now that it’s happening we couldn’t be happier,” the team behind BYE2020 shared in a statement. “Since this is a virtual event, we wanted to leverage on the uniqueness of the execution and have international artists be part of the event without ever having to step in the Philippines.”
