Covid-19 Australia: Victorians mask up again as state records no new local cases

Victoria’s latest coronavirus outbreaks are both offshoots of Sydney’s Delta clusters: three Sydney removalists who breached their permit conditions and a person who returned from Sydney and was supposed to be isolating at home. The list of high-risk exposure sites now includes more than 70 exposure sites including public transport routes, a CBD pub, the MCG, Highpoint Shopping Centre and University Hill outlets in Bundoora. Western Australia on Wednesday enforced new border restrictions on visitors from Victoria, who must isolate for 14 days upon entering the state, while South Australia also tightened restrictions for Victorians, requiring them to undertake a Covid test within 24 hours of arriving and not enter high-risk settings such as aged care for 14 days after arriving.

More COVID-19 exposure sites identified

Four sites have been identified as tier one exposure sites. Anyone who attended any of the following venues within the listed times is required to get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days: Southern Cross Medical Imaging in Epping on Monday between 9.45am and 10.35am; Bizzler Take-Away Food on Barry Road, Campbellfield on Sunday between 2.30pm and 3.30pm; McDonalds Craigieburn on Craigieburn Road West on Sunday between 11.50pm and 12.30pm, and on Tuesday between 1.35pm and 2.20pm; and Craigieburn Sporting Club on Monday between 10.45am and 2.30pm. There are four tier our exposure sites within the Hume and Whittlesea municipalities. Anyone who attended any of the following venues within the listed times should get tested urgently and isolate until receiving a negative result.
